    Handling Sticky Fathead Dough

    This is the most common issue. It gets worse if the temperature in your home is warm, or if your hands are very warm/hot. These tips can help with this:

  • Chill the dough. Popping the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes will make it less sticky.
  • Cover your hands in oil. This is my favorite trick. Wash your hands first if they are already sticky, then add a little oil and you can work with the fathead dough much more easily.
  • Make sure the dough is actually mixed well. The fathead dough is a lot more sticky before its completely uniform. If the cheese starts to solidify before the dough forms, you may need to reheat gently for a short time to soften it again. Dont over heat to avoid cooking the egg. Once its warmer, knead and squeeze rapidly between your fingers to try to get it uniform. After that you can try tips 1 and 2 above before forming the bagels.
  • Pretzels Provide B Vitamins And Iron

B vitamins help break down food into energy, so they’re important for metabolism and digestion.”

    As with any nutrition breakdown, determining if a food is healthy is very much subjective. But we can break down the nutrition to make that decision for ourselves.

    Generally speaking, pretzels are a very healthy snack . They are made with minimal ingredients, are relatively low in calories, and contain little to no fat.

    Of course, not all pretzels are created equally, which were going to find out in the next section.

    Some pretzels will be made with lots of butter or sugar, which will obviously change the outlook a bit. For our purposes here, were just talking about classic pretzels youd be snacking on, like hard pretzels or a very basic soft pretzel.

    While most pretzels are generally healthy, there are certainly exceptions.

    If you prefer to eat low carb, or youre following a keto diet, then pretzels are not going to be very appealing. A small handful of mini pretzels is going to provide you with around 25g of carbs, which can add up quickly if you go back for multiple servings.

    And if you opt for a large soft pretzel, you may be looking at nearly 100 grams of carbs!

  • Make the dough, form a ball, wrap tightly in plastic, and freeze it. When you want to use it, let it thaw completely and then roll out into the pretzel shape. Youll just have to bake the pretzels.
  • Pre-bake the keto soft pretzels . I prefer this option for convenience no thawing needed! Bake the pretzels as directed, wrap them, and store in the freezer. When you are ready to eat them, simply bake for about 6-7 minutes at 400 degrees, until hot.
