    Chili Powder – One level of heat comes from this spice. You can add more or less depending on how spicy you like things.

    Cayenne Pepper – Cayenne is the second level of spice, and complements the other spices nicely.

    Paprika – This spice is not so spicy, but it’s warm and delicious.

    Salt – Season your Keto Chili with salt while it’s cooking.

    Canned Tomatoes – One 15 ounce can of diced tomatoes gives this chili the perfect amount of acidity and color.

    Broth – Beef broth or stock is my go-to when making chili, but chicken or vegetable broth works well too.

    Turkey is really healthy for you. Did you know that it has less saturated fat than ground beef? Its also usually a lot cheaper too. Those two reasons alone are enough to make me want to use ground turkey instead of ground beef.

    • This recipe makes a lot: And since you cant freeze leftovers, if you are cooking for 2 people, I recommend to cut recipe in half. Unless you are good with leftovers for 3 days.
    • Make sure you have proper cooking vessel: I use 14 Green Pan, this 12 skillet might work too because it seems deeper. Also Dutch oven would be great!
    • Stop cooking zucchini before they look ready: Zucchini contains 90% if not more water, so to avoid mushy veggies and ground turkey, cook as per recipe and do not overcook. Stop cooking while squash still looks firm and crisp, it will get there with residual heat.

    How To Make These Keto Stuffed Peppers

    Preheat the oven to 350F and line a medium sheet pan with parchment paper.

    Slice the peppers on half lengthways through the stem and remove the seeds. Lay the pepper halves on the prepared pan, cut side up. Season with salt, pepper, and drizzle 1 tablespoon of oil. Rub with your clean hands to season the peppers all over.

    Roast in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.

    Meanwhile, in a small food processor or a chopper place the onion, carrot, and garlic. Pulse a few times to chop the veggies into small pieces.

    Preheat the remaining tablespoon of oil in a medium pan. Add the chopped veggies and sautee for 3-4 minutes over medium heat.

    Stir in the ground turkey, smoked paprika, and cook until the meat is no longer pink around 5-6 minutes.

    Add the cauliflower rice, olives, crushed tomatoes and stir well to combine. Cook for 5 minutes, then season to your taste.

    Fill the pepper slices with the turkey mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

    Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

    Garnish with minced cilantro and serve while hot.

    A turkey meatball recipe outside of keto use breadcrumbs like most recipes. They use breadcrumbs for a bulking factor and for the gluten in them to help with forming and sticking together. In this recipe at only 4g net carbs per serving the meatballs stick together just fine and are juicy and delicious.

    This is a hard one! Fattier meats are surely ideal not to mention tastier. Turkey is a lean meat but the fat can be added such as this parmesan sauce has cheese, butter and heavy cream in it. All which are good dairy options for the keto diet.

    When done correctly or used as a tool turkey can work well. I am currently doing a cut and an option like turkey keeps my protein up and lowers the calories due to its lack of fat.
